Tara Bohlen and Michael Land to perform

Come join us for an evening of classical music Friday, May 20 with violinist Tara Bohlen and pianist Michael Land performing a program of Beethoven, Khachaturian and Brahms.

The program begins at 7 p.m. and includes Beethoven's Violin Sonata #8 in G major, Op.30 No.3; Khachaturian's Violin Concerto in D minor; and Brahms' Scherzo in C minor for violin and piano. A freewill donation will go to support the Opera House.

Bohlen is a native of Bismarck, and currently serves as associate concertmaster of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra (BMYSO) and youth orchestra conductor of the BMYSO.

She teaches violin and viola in her home studio and performs with the Sonorus String Quartet, an ensemble which performs regularly on PBS televisions's "Prairie Musicians" program.

In 2015, Bohlen was featured as a guest soloist with the BMYSO. She also plays violin with the Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra.
