Wet plate photography by Shane Balkowitsch

An exhibit featuring wet plate photography by Shane Balkowitsch in September will feature 38 prints from the collection: Northern Plains Native Americans: A Modern Wet Plate Perspective.

All artwork (including books) are for sale at the opera house gallery with proceeds going to the American Indian College Fund. 

A wet plate demonstration and talk by the artist will be held Saturday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m.

Bees take centerstage at Lobby & Gallery

An art exhibit entitled "Let It Bee" features the work of Mitch Melberg, who operates an apiary in Williston, ND.

 

New exhibit in July by Deana Novak

Exhibit featuring artwork by Deana Novak. The exhibit “Jack of All” is a show about being curious as an artist. Featured are artwork in gouache, cyanotype, ink on watercolor, pen on photo, mixed media, and more. To purchase artwork, contact the North Dakota Art Gallery Association.

Open every Friday from July 7–28, 1-5 p.m. Grab lunch at the O.P.E.R.A. lunchwagon prior to viewing the exhibit.

Artist talk at 4 p.m. today (5/26)

Mihkp Acenkos will be dancing at the Ellendale Opera House Gallery along with 17 other sisters and brothers from noon to 5 p.m. May 26. (She's also dancing in the Hand Magazine this month!)
An artist's talk and demo is scheduled for 4:05. Food and smiles will be served.

Student art showcase coming in April

New exhibit coming Feb. 3

An art exhibit featuring four artists currently attending Trinity Bible College will open Friday, Feb. 3 at the Ellendale Opera House Lobby & Gallery.

Each artist is unique and creative in their own style. The artists are: Aubree Bohrer, Rachel Naylor, Alecia Underwood and Autumn Shamala.

The exhibit will be open on Fridays in February from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
